Description
North Carolina Currency
March 9, 1754 Fifteen Shillings "Armor" North Carolina
North Carolina, March 9, 1754, Fifteen Shillings, "Knight's Head Armor" vignette, full "1754" date, Very Fine.
Fr. NC-78. The important "Knight's Head Armor" vignette and designs provide eye appeal, including the boldly printed text. Only 6,000 notes were printed in 1754. This boldly printed circulated French and Indian War period note has nice centering and eye appeal. Other than corner tips trimmed and a trivial edge split or two it has a whole and solid appearance. All four signatures are worn, some light but clear being nicely written in blue, red and brown ink. Only one typical period notation on the quite clean blank reverse side.
