Description
First letter about claim for Josiah Millikin 1871 with print signature of commissioner Baker. Document signed D.T Richardson of Baldwin Maine. 2nd letter discussing claim of John Kelley who was a private in Company A Vermont volunteers during the civil war. Later was in Co H 15th Vermont. The letter talks of needing more proof of injury. the letter is signed William Wade Dudley who was a union army officer during the civil war and lost a leg at gettysburg. Dudley was also united states commissioner of pensions under Garfield and Arthur. he was also treasurer of Republican national committee.
