A Spanish Colonial retablo painting on canvas depicting The Holy Trinity (La Santa Trinidad) enthroned above a globe and serpent amidst billowing clouds and angelic seraphim. Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are depicted in white, blue, and red robes respectively and hold distinguishing symbols on their breasts. The Father with a sun and holding a scepter at the center; the Son at his right with a lamb; the Holy Ghost at his left with a dove. All three have halos of holy light radiating from their visages. Their feet hover above a blue terrestrial globe and a serpent signifying their dominion over the universe. A wonderful oil on canvas retablo of the Holy Trinity, set in an attractive custom frame.
