Description
Bronze casting with brown patina depicting Lord Vishnu, occupying the central position, standing on a lotus flower base. He is in his four-armed version: the two main ones in varadamudra (his right) and holding a lotus flower (his left); the secondary ones bear two attributes of the deity: the mace and the discus. Vishnu is dressed in a short, sober dhoti and is likely wearing a pair of boots (a peculiarity often found in Chamba devotional bronzes). Behind his luxurious headdress is a large lotus flower in the centre of an arched prabha. The deity is flanked by two attendants, probably the personification of two attributes.
