Item Details

Description

(Disney, 1941) An extremely rare animator's maquette of the Stork from Disney's 1941 Featurette, "Dumbo." Maquettes such as this one were used by animators as a three-dimensional reference while animating the character. Constructed of plaster and hand-painted in the character model department of the studio, only a handful would be produced and distributed among the animators, with each one numbered on the bottom. The maquette measures 6"x 8.5" tall. It is in fine condition with a studio stamp and the number "6" on the underside of the base.
