Chippendale Carved Cherry Tall Case Clock
Adam Brant, New Hanover, Pennsylvania circa 1770
The scrolled molded crest with carved rosettes above the engraved brass dial with makers name in the arch and pull-up movement on a waist with carved door and fluted corner columns on base with raised panel and ogee bracket feet. Height 8 feet 3/4 inches, width 23 inches, depth 11 inches.

old refinish; edgewear; crack to panel in base; breaks to molding below the hood; door has been reglazed; shrinkage cracks to case sides; minor evidence of insect activity to backboards; at least 2 feet replaced; finials are probably old replacements; mismatched holes on seat board
