Description
In one binder, some with typed or handwritten full or partial transcriptions, most with written content narratives or comments, some soldier research, together with pre and post civil war correspondence including a Humbolt Mining commercial letter, a Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad letter (1874), a Congressman George Fuller constituent letter 1845, a Cuba Coal Co. letter (1874), a Cuba Chautougua Resort Assoc. letter, a Treasury Dept pay voucher, etc.
The letters in varying sizes, some in multiple pages, 5 accompanied by their original transmittal cover, varied subject matter, binder measures 12.5x10in., in generally good condition with expected wear and varying degrees of issues given age and use.
Provenance: Part of a civil war collection of a Sullivan County, NY gentleman 90 years young. The collection spans 50 years and was acquired from shows, dealers and private collections throughout the east coast and midwest.
