Quimbaya culture (c. 200 BC-1550 CE)
Clay covered in a pale ochre slip and fitted with a hammered gold nose ring.
H: 6 1/8, W: 6 1/4, D: 3 in.
H: 15.56, W: 15.87, D: 7.62 cm.
Provenance: Private collection, Northern Virginia. The collection was purchased in Bogota, Colombia throughout the early 1980's. Sold with copy of original receipt with importation stamp and signature.

Condition
The slip applied on the surface with small cracks original to firing/production throughout. Genuine crack to top edge of head. All extremities and gold ring fully intact and structurally sound.
