Description: From: Tables des Forces de l'Europe avec un Introduction a la Fortification, compose de 194 Plans des Villes les plus Considerables du Monde. Peter Schenk the Elder was a German engraver and cartographer from Elberfeld, now Wuppertal. Around 1684 he moved to Amsterdam and became a pupil of Gerard Valck, specialising in mezzotint; he travelled to Leipzig and Berlin. Until his death in 1718/19 he published numerous maps and pictures.

Condition
Good condition. The sheet is slightly browned and creased due to its age, with small margins. Paper slightly damaged in the centre. The decorative sheet makes a very good impression.
