A rare and highly aesthetic fossilized tusk from a woolly mammoth (Mammuthus primigenius) with a curved profile and a polished surface. This tusk is gorgeous and well preserved from the fossilization process, with a caramel brown and beige enamel with black striations making for some fantastic patterning! The slender width suggests this was possibly a female or maybe a juvenile male. Mammoths are one of the most memorable examples of Ice Age megafauna that most people will instantly recognize; their tusks are a special part of any prehistoric and fossil collection!
