Description
Late Period, Ca. 664-332 BC.A bronze statuette of Sekhmet, shown seated with clenched hands on her knees. Her head is that of a lion with a tripartite wig and a sun disc above. The body is clothed in a long form-fitting dress. Sekhmet was the goddess of wrath, warfare, and plague. The statuette is supported by a custom-made stand. For similar see: The Michael C.
