Offered here for your consideration is an original Buffalo Bill letter and the book in which it is published. The letter, written to his sister, is dated July 10th, 1914 and was penned in Fargo, N.D. It is on his own letterhead, that has a picture and short biography of himself in the left margin. The book that is part of this lot, titled Buffalo Bill's Wild West is a historical compilation of the life and times of Buffalo Bill. It features the Michael Del Castello collection of the American West. The book clearly shows this letter in a collage picture on page 204. Additionally, the book is inscribed by Michael Del Castello. This is a remarkable letter from a brother to his sister, as well as a piece of history! And the book, with the letter pictured in it, makes this lot one that you will want in your collection!
MAKER: Letter written by Col. William F. Cody, also known as Buffalo Bill. Book written by R.L. Wilson with Greg Martin.
APPROX AGE: Letter written in 1914. Book published in 1998.
SIZE: Letter is 8 1/2 inches wide x 11 inches tall. Book is 11 1/2 inches wide x 9 inches tall.
