Description
Autograph letter signed by Dr. Wallace to Bernard Hove. [Fredericksburg, Virginia], 16 April 1827. Integral envelope panel to verso with "Fredg. Va." postal stamp. With notation, "Dr. Wallace concerning Craig vs. Fox."
The author of the letter, Dr. Wallace, writes to Bernard Hove (b. ca 1791) regarding an extensive dispute between two parties, Craig and Fox. Notably he includes: "I have heard it said he has disposed of some of Craig's negro property without the advice or consent of Craig."
