Description
Southeastern Italy, Ca 4th century BCE. Two pottery blackware vessels uncovered in a Daunian tomb in 1944 by Byron Farwell, and later (1953) published in a book on his collection. First, an olpe in dark brown slip and small foot. Next, small salt dish this slipped in more traditional Greek blackware glaze. 3-1/2" H and 4" D respectively.
