**First Time At Auction**
Native American, Western United States, Great Basin region, Paiute, ca. mid to late 20th century CE. A handmade baby carrier cradleboard comprised of woven willow rods and covered with leather hide sewn with glass seed beads. A headboard / sunshade is attached at the top, and leather lacing up the front to secure the swaddled baby in place. This board may have swaddled a child or been made as a model for older children to play with and learn how the cradleboards were used and made. Size: 31" L x 11" W (78.7 cm x 27.9 cm)
