Description

American (Bucks County, Pennsylvania), 1st quarter 19th Century, cherry with poplar secondary. Bonnet with broken arch pediment, carved rosettes, turned finials, freestanding pilasters and arched door. Case with moldings under bonnet and at waist, quarter round fluted columns, door with shell carved crest, base with raised panel and shaped crest and French feet. Painted steel face with moon dial and lettered "David Seip, Bucks County". Brass works, pendulum and weights. Old refinishing with wear. 97"h. 22.75"w. 12.5"d. Ex Roland and Marilyn Kemble. Condition update: Glass replaced in door, case hinges replaced, bonnet lower right molding is loose, and a chip on front right lower bonnet molding.

Condition

Original finials. It has a good patina and color on the finish. There is no notable damage aside from general wear that is expected for age.
