French Louis XV Style Hand Painted Porcelain with Gilt Ormolu Ewers, 19th C., H 11.25" W 4.5" 1 Pair | Cobalt ground with fired gold accents. Both are decorated with jeweled registers of courting couples on one side and riverside landscapes on the reverse. No apparent artist signatures. Gilt handles in the form of twining snakes. Undersides of the feet of one piece are stamped "DD", the second piece bears stamps of "EE". Provenance: Property from the collection of John Francis Dodge, Co-Founder of the Dodge Brothers Company.
