Thomas Jefferson "Pr.US" Bold Free Frank Signature, PSA NM-MT 8
Cut signature, measuring 2.375" x 1.125", n.p., ca. 1801. Boldly inscribed "free" and signed "Th:Jefferson". The signature was cut from a free franked envelope where he signed as "Pr. US". Some foxing and staining, and dealer notes in pencil on verso, else good condition. Graded NM-MT 8 and encapsulated by PSA/DNA to the overall size of 5.25" x 3".

He played a significant part in the founding of the United States and was notably the primary author of the Declaration of Independence.
