Very rare Husbands & Clarke table top 2-inch refractor with rack and pinion focuser and Schryle 4-lens eyepiece an dachromatic doublet object glass on Pillar & Claw stand with altitude trunnion bronze gilding restored. For history of firm see Optically perfect with erecting eyepiece. Note the greenish tint to the forward crown element, unusal for a doublet of this date and indicating the use of crown window glass rather than Chance optical crown.The mount has been restored professionally and functions as it would have when originally made in c. 1870. Size: 23 1/2 x 13 1/2 x 19 3/8 in. #1128
