Description
This 28 Inch Long Blade Is Very Unique In The Way It Is Carved With Alternating Blood Grooves Found On Each Side Of The Blade. The Old And Original Polish Of This Blade Allows For Its Very Active Straight Line Temper And Surface Grain To Be Seen Quite Clearly, At Some Point, Very Long Ago, It Was Shortened By About 4-5 Inches, Losing It's Signature, If It Ever Had One. The Tightly Fitting Tsuba Appears To Be Made Of A Darkly Patinated Copper, The Fuchi And Kashira Are Black Shakudo With Gold Borders. The Scabbard Is Of Higo Or Hizen Province Style Ande Has A Combination Of 2 Types Of Lacquer Work, Russet Iron Drag And Kurigata, Along With A Deeply Tarnished Silver Tie Down. This A Very Attractive Sword.
