Autograph Letter Signed, "C.G. Jung", in German, 1p, on the verso of a postcard measuring?5.75? x 4", Bolligen,?July 25, 1941. Postmarked from Bollingen, St. Gallen, just one day before Jung's 66th birthday. Untranslated. A bit of ink haloing and some very minor soiling. In near fine condition.

Jung writes to his mentee, Dr. Rivkah Scharf Kluger, from Bollingen Tower, his home in Switzerland.?Jung built the structure in 1923, adding several additions throughout the years. In appearance, it is a small castle with four towers, located on the shore on the basin of Lake Zurich.

Carl G. Jung (1875-1961) is one of the most pioneering psychoanalysts of the 20th century, with his influence extending to literature, anthropology, religious studies, and psychiatry. Jung was also an artist, craftsman, builder and prolific writer. Many of his works were not published until after his death and some are still awaiting publication.

Rivkah Scharf Kluger (1907-1987) was a Swiss psychoanalyst who was born in Bern but lived in Zurich from the age of two. She received her doctoral degree in Semitic Languages and Religious History from the University of Zurich. Kluger trained directly with Carl G. Jung while in graduate school. Her dissertation on "Satan in the Old Testament" was later published as a book. Kluger practiced for many years in Los Angeles and taught seminars all over the world on mythology and biblical stories. She moved with her husband to Israel in 1969, where she continued practicing and teaching at various Jungian training centers.
