A medieval Seljuk star-shaped bronze basin decorated with kufic inscription on the surface and floral motif in the centre. The basin surface is almost completely dotted on the inner bottom. For similar see: Islamic Metalwork from Afghanistan (9th-13th century), n. 172. This piece is accompanied by a historical report from Alessandro Neri, an international Cultural Heritage expert based in Florence, Italy.

Provenance: Property of a West London gentleman; previously in a collection formed on the UK/International art market in the 1980s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
