A Chippendale walnut tall chest, Southeastern Pennsylvania, circa 1780
Provenance
With molded top, over an arrangement of three short drawers over two short drawers over four graduated long drawers, fluted quarter columns, molded base above tall ogee feet.

Condition
lot 21: with an evenly refinished surface; with a repaired break to right-facing top molding; with several patches to drawer faces, including replaced strips to top edges of two bottom-most drawers; minor age cracks to side panels, and a patch to knot to right-facing side; one long drawer with slightly loose bottom board; right-facing back of base molding with replaced / patched element; three feet with repaired breaks to foot facings, and back support blocks have been repaired; brasses are replaced; upper three drawers originally had Quaker spring locks, but no longer present
