Description
Vehicle plaque, 2.5 x 3 in., a two-piece die struck brass and nickel construction with green enamel finish. Mounted to the vaulted plaque is the nickel constructed piece depicting a German eagle, swastika, and glider at the top, with the year 1933 on the swastika. Maker marked on the reverse by Karl Wurster of Markneukirchen. Small chip at the right edge, else fine. This plaque comes from the 1933 Deutschen Luftsportverband (DLV) air show in Saxony, to raise funds for the party and for covert recruitment of pilots for the Luftwaffe.
