Collected by a federal government administrator during his travels in the Eastern and Central Arctic;
by descent in the family.

This wonderfully naïve polar bear has charm to spare. We love the elongated body placed solidly atop decidedly stout legs. While the artist seems to have been less concerned with photographic realism, he nonetheless managed to infuse this sculpture with the bear essentials!
