Description
Raymond Gregory-Walker (Took) (Native American, Tlingit, 20th to 21st century) ca. 2019. "Gunxaa Yeil." A beautiful hand-carved wood frontlet inlaid with abalone (mother of pearl) shells. The verso is signed "Took '19" and titled "Gunxaa Yeil" which translates to "Abalone Raven." Traditionally frontlets were worn on the brow of a headdress as part of a ceremonial costume. Size: 7" L x 6" W (17.8 cm x 15.2 cm)
