Description
Extra Fine and Unique Huaka Women's Ceremonial Belt, Achiri, Pacajes Region, Early 20th C. Alpaca warp and weft. The yarns are so finely spun that water beads on its surface. The belt displays a range of traditional motifs that even can be found on pre-Columbian weavings. The most prominent designs are the Inca Sun figure, Inti (Sun), Tica (Flower), Katari (Hawk) and Man with Sling. Size: 3'1'' x 3'' (94 x 8 cm).
