Description: A corporal and a private during the Indian Wars (Circa 1890) sit in an autumn forest, the private leaning toward the corporal, who sits in an elevated position on a log. The corporal is known as such due to the two arrowed stripes pointing down his upper arm and the single diagonal stripes down his forearms. Both jackets, the corporal's and the private's, have three buttons on the cuffs and five up the front. Their belts are buckled high on the waist with 'H' shaped, metal buckles. The ground is dusted with dead leaves and stray sticks, revealing the season.
Condition: There is a small stain that bleeds into the frame in the bottom right corner and a more severedmarking in the top left corner, with small black smudges and a small piece missing from the very tip.
History: The majority of skirmishes with the Native Americans in the United States were done before 1899, with the last medal of recognition being given the year before. By 1924, the Indian Wars, as they have been called, were finished and no major conflicts arose after that point.
