LUFTWAFFE MECHANIZED LIGHT ARTILLERY PHOTO ALBUM
Commercially prepared photograph album printed for members of a Luftwaffe mechanized light artillery unit and containing about 200 photographs mounted within by a member of the regiment. The flashy album bears a 9" x 12" cloth cover with Nazi flag: "Wehrdienst-Ehrendienst", with about 30 pages of text concerning the unit and German military history in general. The soldier also has a page full of autographs of his comrades. The approx. 200 loose and pasted photos within include about a dozen postcards and commercial images, the balance being original photos showing drill, training in the field, artillery training with spotlights, flak emplacements, a half-track towing an artillery piece, spotting in the field, graves of comrades, mounted machine guns, destroyed buildings, and so on. Overall fine condition.
