Partly printed document, 1p, 1822, oblong 8vo., in part: "At an adjourned District Court of the United States…at Newcastle…Delaware, on the nineteenth day of November…one thousand eight hundred and twenty two…before the honorable Judge….came into Court, Aaron Bannister age Twenty three years…a native of England subject to the King…residing in Wilmington…his occupation a Copper - Smith - and made Oath in open Court, that it was bona fide his intention to become a Citizen of the United States, and renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince…particularly to the King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain…"Signed at the bottom by Thomas Witherspoon, clerk of the District Court, Dec 4, 1822, certifying that this is a "true Copy of the Record." Tear at fold and light wear.
