Lot of two items, includes an A.Q.S. 1p. oblong 8vo., New York, 1939 to Universal Pictures founder Carl Laemmle sending birthday greetings: "...[Laemmle] has given pleasure and education to millions...From a pioneer of submarine navigation who wishes by means of motion pictures to open up to mankind the beauty and mysteries of the 'under sea world'...", with slight glue show-through, sold with a 1937 check engrossed and signed by Lake, punch cancel affecting one letter in signature. Two pieces.
