Description
Ecuador/Colombia, Ca 500 to 1000 CE. We have seen a number of fish form graters/scalers, but this is this first that actually looks like a tool, and not some form of votive object. Oval pottery scaler with coarse underside embedded with numerous sharp stone fragments, handle on top and upper section decorated with sun or floral pattern in mid-relief. 5-1/4" L.
