Description
An elaborately decorated Lambayeque (Sican) bottle from Peru, ca. 700 – 1300 AD. Features the head of the primary deity Naymlap, flanked by a pair of birds, mounted atop the bridge handle. The front of the bridge is decorated with deeply incised step pyramid designs and a pair of typical serpent heads protrude from the base of the spouts.
All lots will be sold with a COA guaranteeing the authenticity of the piece for a lifetime. All items will come with full provenance information. Condition report and provenance is available upon request. All items were legally obtained and are legal to buy and sell.
