A nice Roman ceramic lamp depicting Jupiter, c. 2nd Century AD, the rounded body with concave discus bordered by a ridge and an ovolo pattern around the shoulder. The god is depicting facing on the back of an eagle, whose wings are outstretched and talons clasp a thunderbolt. L: 4 2/5 in (11.2cm), W: 3 2/5 in (8.7cm). Intact with light deposits.
