Description
An Egyptian steatite plaque with a Nile Perch, New Kingdom, c. 1570 - 1075 BC, rectangular in shape with a low profile, the top with a Nile Perch carved in relief with naturalistic style, the opposite side with a horse standing rt., signs before and above. Holed lengthwise for suspension. 17 x 14mm. Light deposits. Ex Hamdy Sakr collection, London; previously in the private collection of Alex Anckonie III, acquired during his time in the Navy in the 1960's - 1970's.
