Item Details

Description

This is a single piece Porter frame. It is missing the pinchpot. It has the unique Porter lid latch "hook". Paint is hiding lots of detail but you can easily make out part of the Porter & Sons hallmark with patent dates on the intake area of the base. The globe is a very nice, thick red that is flashed. There are some flakes off the bottom where you can easily see clear glass. These Porter globes are hard to find. They are quite narrow and they tend to have long extended bases. The red is strong, you can;t see the missing pot through the globe.
