Description

Dull Finish 9 inch vase decorated in 1883 by Albert Valentien, who placed two storks, standing amid oriental grasses, beneath a sky with golden clouds, the top and bottom of the vessel trimmed with gold. Impressed with Rookwood and the date in block letters, shape 103, a G to indicate ginger clay and a kiln mark and incised with the artist's initials. No crazing with restoration to a 1/8 inch chip at the base.
