Sold by and marked on the back plate "Westley Richards & Co. Ltd., Birmingham" this is a 4" Dingley "Rolo" reel with 1 1/4" wide spool set for right hand wind. Walter Dingley's 1911 brake mechanism patent #20133 is also marked on the back plate. Comes with rim mounted thumb screw click, click is very strong and loud, also has spindled spool core with 14 brass spindles, twin ivorine handle grasps, rim mounted tension screw for casting trigger, ivorine casting trigger lever and quick spool release button mounted on face of spool. Retaining most of its original lead finish, condition is Excellent minus with just some light wear.
