Description
Civil War. This letter is one of seven hand written copies made by Robert Crane and sent to Major. G.O. Haller - Commanding Division of the Susquehanna. Dated June 29th, 1863, just prior to the Confederate invasion of Pennsylvania and the Gettysburg Campaign. The letter details the disassembly of the bridge to prevent the Confederate Army's crossing of the Susquehanna and moving east through Lancaster to Philadelphia. This important historical document is in great condition with only very minor toning and no damage. Condition (Excellent). Size 10" L.
