Maker’s mark, silver standard mark, city mark, duty mark and date letter on the underside; hallmarked again on the handle and the lid knob

Very good condition
A solid teapot of typical Victorian taste

The teapot has a flattened circular form and stands on a circular spreading and ornamented foot. The body shows six embossed acanthus leaf decorated lobes and a shell, leaf and floral decorated rim. The domed hinged lid features a knob in the form of a flower surrounded by leafs. The C scroll handle and the spout are adorned with acanthus leafs.


Condition:

The pot is in a very good condition, showing only the lightest signs of use. The height, including the handle, is 20 cm, while the weight is circa 762 g. (cko)
