Description
A pair of ancient glass vessels. The first is a pale green glass bottle, Late Roman - Early Islamic, c. 5th - 8th Century AD, the body bulbous with tall widening mouth, H: 4 in (10.2 cm). The second a Persian unguentarium amphora, 9th - 10th Century, with tapered body, narrow neck and tall mouth, H: 3 3/4 in (9.5 cm). Cf. Nishapur 116 for type. Both nice examples. Ex William R. Frick collection, Wisconsin.
