Original Mary Wilson Ball (Charleston, SC 1892-1984) Watercolor. A Young Man on the Battery Seawall c. 1940. Measures 16x20x.50. Weight 3 pds 4 oz. PROVENANCE: A Charleston SC Private Estate. Mary Wilson Ball was a watercolor and miniature artist who was listed in Who's Who in American Art and her works were exhibited throughout the State as well as in Washington, DC. She was a member of the Carolina Art Association and she studied under Alice Ravenel Huger Smith. Her work can be found in the Charleston Museum Collection on Meeting Street in Charleston SC.
