Description
An Egyptian terracotta ushabti, 3rd Intermediate Period, c. 1075 - 664 BC, mummiform, wearing tripartite wig, arms folded across chest, a hoe in each hand, basket suspended from shoulder low on back, vertical column of hieroglyphic text down front of legs. L: 6 1/2 in (16.5 cm). Very well preserved with exceptionally preserved paint beneath light deposits. Ex New Jersey private estate.
