Description
Troy, NY, July 26, 1830. Two pages and address panel with light postmark, 7.9375” x 9.9375”. Condition: Fine Condition. Daniel Barnard (July 16, 1797-April 24, 1861) was the District Attorney of Monroe County, New York, in 1826 and a US Representative from New York from March 1827 to March 1829 and from March 1839 to March 1845. The letter, which Barnard wrote shortly after returning home, speaks primarily about how the charges against his cousin Edwin who was accused of assault on a married female and that charges seem to have been exaggerated.
