**First Time At Auction**
Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Jalisco, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. Three hand-built terracotta female figures standing atop arched feet and with attenuated limbs. Their bodies have slightly distended abdomens, nubbin-shaped arms, thick necks, and straight backs. They also exhibit classic "sheepface" facial characteristics such as pointed ears, thin mouths, conical noses, and coffee-bean-shaped eyes. Their bodies are colored in a deep-red earthtone hue, and one displays white-painted details. A lovely gathering! Size: 4.875" H (12.4 cm).
Provenance: private Stagecoach, Nevada, USA collection; acquired from 1985 to present from galleries such as Arte Primitivo, Art For Eternity, Butterfields, and Riverbend Gallery

Figure with incised headband has head reattached. All items have age-commensurate surface wear, chips and fading to pigmentation, small chips to arms and legs, with light earthen and mineral deposits throughout.
