Ancient Pre-Columbian Coca Bag from the south coast of Peru, ca. 900-1400 A.D. Naturally dyed camelid fibers woven in a simple, banded pattern with four tassel ends. Four selvedge ends. Bag would be formed by pulling together each of the ends. Professionally cleaned/restored, mounted on black fabric and beautifully framed. Textile itself measures approximately 7-3/4" square.
