The price of shipping

Hi, the shipping cost is high because the item is a painting, going to Switzerland. We charged $135 with everything included. It is a very fair price according to industry standard.

Shipping is expensive...
I do not blame this auction house but the level of insanity related to common sense issues... like simply putting an object, wrapped in bubble wrap and shipping out what should be a $9 shipping cost instead of $39 (twice what I paid for the item!!)

Shipping rates are calculated by LiveShipping, so we unfortunately do not control the carrier’s price. Our portion was $14, which covers packing materials and labor to properly protect the item. The remaining amount reflects the carrier’s postage for the item's size (8.5 × 5.3 × 1.7 inches, and its a delicate rock form) and service used. Lastly, the price of an item has no relation to shipping cost. Shipping carriers calculate rates based on package size, weight, distance, and service level.
