Wonderful Buying Experience at Gray's Auctioneers!
We could not be more pleased with our purchase at Gray's Auctioneers September 6th sale. The auction was most enjoyable with a nice mix of really interesting antiques. The lorgnette we won was perfectly described with excellent accompanying images. The auction was smoothly conducted and move along at a nice pace. Payment was a breeze. Our lorgnette was expertly packed and shipped out quite promptly. We are looking forward to participating in the next Gary's Auctioneers sale. Definitely a FIVE STAR auction house!

Rare Cleveland Item with condition issues
The item is delightful but I should have seen it in person as the condition description was incorrect. Two of the leaves are ripped nearly in half and the corners are folded over, which was not included in the description or photos. I like the book nevertheless, but will need to expend additional funds for restoration work. I've learned my lesson: caveat emptor.

Service and honesty good business
Paid invice promptly they sent notice to add $194 shipping. The amount more than twice what should arounds 80 to 100 bucks, Contacted auctioneer to re check no resonse

Picked up/delivery
I live in a 2 hour distance from Gray's. Even though their shop is not open for business typically on the weekends, the owners made an exception from their busy schedules to meet me on a Saturday so I could pick my item up. Delivery for my item, which required a custom made box and packaging was too costly, so I was very pleased that I was able to work out picking my item up-and the owners were there at the shop waiting for me. All went very very smoothly. Thank you so much for your cooperation!

Easy transaction for a newbie
This was the first time I had to make my own arrangements for shipping and had no idea where to begin. Gray's was very helpful when I reached out to them on recommended shipper. I was provided an exact quote and the entire purchase process with Gray's was much easier than I expected! I love my items and would do business with them in the future.

Sold a non-working watch winder
This multiple watch winder was represented as fully functional. When we received it, there were loose fuses and parts in the case and the majority of the winders were not functional. None of these defects were disclosed and there were NO photographs of the loose parts or fuses clearly present in the case. When I contacted Gray's, they sent a video of a SINGLE functioning winder and claimed that they were all functional. They made ZERO effort to fix the problem or make it right. This item was CLEARLY misrepresented as I (nor anyone else) would have purchased this item for half the price had its condition been correctly represented. Not disclosing an issue is no different than lying about it.

I am sorry you were disatisfied with your purchase from our March 8 auction. The watch winder was functioning at the auction house. The video we sent you showed all the winders rotating and we also sent it to other bidders. The pictures posted showed not only the front but showed the back open, together with a detailed close-up, with all wires and fuses attached. There were no loose parts or loose fuses to take pictures of. It appears that the watch winder must have been damaged in the shipping process. You arranged with your shippers to pick up the watch winder from our auction house in Cleveland, Ohio and it was driven to your location in Arizona. We are not responsible for shipping issues. Please be sure to contact your shipper to request recompense from them. It was working before it was packed and picked-up by your shippers. Once again I am sorry you are not happy with your purchase.
