Awesome auction house!
I've lost track of how many antiquities I've obtained from Artemis. If you need to fill a missing slot in your collection, you will likely (eventually) see what you are looking for listed here. 4, 200 year old Maxwell-Hyslop Type-9a copper alloy shaft-hole axe? Checked it off the list. I highly recommend this auction house.

Lost Part of the Lot
There was an old typed paper tag shown in the lot pictures that described the item and where it was found that I felt gave validity to its authenticity. I never received it. Someone in the auction house lost it. Credit on shipping in the future was offered or I could return the item. Not happy but keeping the item. Shipping credit to too helpful when I can't trust them

Thank you for the feedback. To be clear, both items were sent — it was just the handwritten tag that was misplaced. That shouldn't have happened, and I understand why it shook your confidence. Since you have a photo of it in our COA, we're happy to send you a printed copy for your records anytime. Artemis has amazing artifacts
I purchased two Taino artifacts in this auction that are as described, amazing art objects. Artemis always has wonderful items on auction. I use LiveAuctioneers shipping services this auction and the items arrived promptly and in perfect order. I suggest using LiveAuctioneers for bidding in Srtemis auctions and using their shipping service and not to use the Artemis platform for bidding and shipping services. The two previous auctions I used the Artemis platform and shipping services and I’m still waiting for my items. It is also more expensive than LiveAuctioneers. Artemis has the best descriptions, items and authentication in the business. Some great provenance too. I have purchased hundreds of items from them. Not one have I regretted or resold. Unfortunately their in/house shipping and customer service in shipment seems overwhelmed. Be sure to use LiveAuctioneers when bidding to get prompt shipment. I’m hoping to receive my other items soon from Artemis.

They are not truthful, they make promises they do not keep.
Specific provenance and authenticity documents were promised in the auction listing of our lot as part of the purchase and these documents were not provided when the lot was shipped. Despite repeated email requests these documents still have not been provided. We would not have purchased this lot had we known that these documents would not be included as they are an important part of the value of the piece. Auction also promised a money back refund if these documents were not supplied which also has not been honored. Buy at your own risk here as the auction's promises cannot be trusted.

For this inaugural joint auction with Arte Primitivo, lots were located both in CO and NYC. Those shipping from NYC did not ship with COAs, but that doesn't mean they don't come with one. The two items are as beautiful as shown in the photos.
It is hard do make an internet decision on items where the color is deeply related to the joy the item brings to the collections. Although the true color is not as vibrant as the internet photos, they are consistent in their overall appearance. This is a hard thing to accomplish. Regardless, the integrity of the objects, they are old and made on leather, and were made for Native Children, honestly they are amazing.

Great Piece!
The items that I bought exceeded my expectations. They are all original and awesome. One of the best lots I have bought. Shipping was a bit slow BUT they did proactively say it would take 2-3 weeks to get my lot. Provenance in the shipment was perfect and it was packed with Care. I highly recommend this auction house.

Caveat Emptor
I would be very careful. I was previously sold a PreColumbian piece as authentic which later (when I asked them to resell it) was found to be a modern copy. Very slow in paying auction payments (not slow in requesting payment). Also took weeks to receive my last item. Be careful,

They had adequate information and good representation of the object
I love the mask I bought as much as I hoped. It's great. Artemis is accurate in their representations. There was a slow down in shipping because the shipper was down an employee for health reasons so it took a while, but this is the same shipper used by many auctioneers, and it was really a fluke. They were responsive in providing an update when I asked.
