I won a very good FAKE Watch
Buyer be alert, I won a very good FAKE Watch Marked Cartier Ballon Bleu Watch w/Box & Manual. for $550, over $800 after fees and shipping. I took it to watch master to repair and tune up, I was told its a very good FAKE, that cant be repaired. After contacting auction several times they gave me their exuses that its on me not them. After several attempts of trying to get my money back, they said they will give me a partial refund after 20 % restocking fee and signing a Confidentiality Agreement that I would not go public, I said I will only if they refunded me all my money, including auction fees and shipping, later stopped replying to me. I filed a complaint with my Credit card company to see if I can get at least most of my money back.

Counterfeit Items
This auction house is one of the shadiest I have ever dealt with. They do not stand behind their items. They sold fake counterfeit items for over $600. They refuse to make things right. Hiding behind their "policy" that they do not guarantee anything they sell is authentic. While I guess they can get away with this fraudulent practice on LiveAuctioneers, most reputable places would not let this fly. I sell many things on eBay and other sites, and if I tried to sell a counterfeit item, knowingly or not, they would shut me down and likely come after me for the illegal practice. Simply putting that I don't guarantee authenticity wouldn't work. I would give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they didn't know it was fake. However, given that they won't stand by their items, I am now led to believe they knew quite well what they were doing. This is fraud, plain and simple! I do not recommend anyone doing business with these scammers.

I’ll never bid with them again
They want you to sign a waiver, even prior to them sending your package out. Speaking of, my items were literally paper thin, but somehow i was told in order to get a tracked shipment, it would cost me approximately $48 (for two small paper thin items. I was also told they could ship it without tracking (not a great idea in my book) for $16 (great price, if the package even arrives). After already paying for the items and for the 24 % Premium, I decided they could keep the items and resell them, that way they already profited from me (the cost and the premium) and then by reselling to whoever was gullible. I’ve had so many GREAT experiences on LiveAuctioneers, except this one. I’ll make sure to note who is handling the auction before I start bidding, and if it’s this company-well I’ll just forgo it.

Item not as decribed and Aucyioon House unresponsive
I bought a painting that was titled Oil On Canvas and had "oil on canvas" in the description as well. I received a very low quality Acrylic painting instead. I requested to return and be refunded, but 888 auctions wanted a 20 % restock fee and also I would be responsible for shipping in BOTH directions which means I would be out allot of money! I appealed with Liveauctioneers, but 888 is unresponsive with them as well! This auction house is selling more acrylic paintings from the same source as oil to this day, so they are scamming customers here! Read their terms an conditions, which allows them to get away with this, even when an item isn't described. Avoid this auction house at all costs, especially for paintings! This is by far the worst experience I have had with an auction house and I am disappointed that Liveauctioneers couldn't help out either. I got totally scammed here.

Great auction house. Service is rapid and curtous. Shipping is first class. Nice organisation. The problem is that the have too many nice items that you can purchase...

selling copies (fakes)
I purchased 2 items from this auction house and it turns out tha was just a copies. when I report to them they reply that "they are NOT responsible" Just be carefull with those people!!!

Fake painting
This company is selling fakes paintings knowing what they do! The painting was acquired by them in Peru to a recognized forger!

Be Careful... This company is not Honest...
I purchased a painting from what I thought was an auction house in Canada. That was not the case.... Deceptive... The painting was shipped from Lima Puru.... I based my opinion of the item based on the area it could of ended up... This is deceptive... the only reason to to do this is to fool your customers.

Worst business people I have ever dealt with.
Immediately after paying for the invoice I called 888 to arrange an appointment for picking up my items (live two hours away) Receiver no response and was not able leave a telephone messages as the message box was full each time. I did get a rude massage after communicating the issue with a shipper who knew them. when all my attempts for an appointment has failed I finally drove over two hours to collect my items. I called them again before arriving and was told to come before 2.0 PM prior to their next auction. When I arriver the doors were locked and there was no notice for me at the door. I had to go back home without my items. I have a bad back and driving distances is very uncomfortable. Trying to avoid driving there again I finally asked a friend of mine who works in the are to pick the items up for me. When I received the package from my friend one of the three lots was missing (red glazed porcelain vase) and there was a small glass perfume bottle instead. I called again about this and was sent a revised invoice showing the glass bottle but not the vase paid for. I did send the correct invoice I had received from Live Auctions to point out the mistake. Have received no response and I think I am being ignored. I wish to inform and warn Live Auction bidders to avoid 888.

Authentic art as described
‘ Bought a pencil signed Dal í print that checks out perfectly with description in Field catalogue & is c/w other Dal í prints I have. Shipping was safe and reasonably quick. I would buy from them again
